The Qur'an states that Satan is not an angel but a member of the Jinn which are spiritual beings created by Allah. The belief that Satan is a fallen angel is rejected in Islam once started, a verse (ayat) must be finished, it will otherwise bring bad luck ...and I thought religion precluded superstition! The Q'ran, Hadiths and music do not mix, it is forbidden. However the "tajweed" form of recital - use of the voice to bestow beauty on it's sacred words - is allowed. A master of this form is Abd al-Baset Muhammed Abd as-Samad ~ : ~
